About Me
I am a native Houstonian with Mexican roots. Growing up as an only child in a Latino household was a unique experience, but it pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped shape me into the strong extrovert I am today. Connecting with people, exploring diverse cultures, and spending time outdoors truly energizes me.

My upbringing was not without obstacles and over the years, I have gradually begun to process my past to better understand its impact. Through this work, I have discovered my inner strengths, gained an increased self-awareness, and learned to live consciously and present. Therapy opened the door to self-compassion and gave me the courage to embrace my story fully. This process was challenging and messy, but ultimately it liberated me. My personal growth contributes to my efficacy as a therapist to guide individuals on their journey towards growth and healing.

Values
-
Self-compassion: We are gentle, tender, forgiving to ourselves, and maintain healthy boundaries.
-
Curiosity: We get curious rather than judgmental about the parts of us we may not understand.
-
Connection: We practice being mindful and present with our mind and body, with others, and in nature.
-
Authenticity: We embrace our unique selves, own our story, and practice vulnerability.

My therapeutic approach is centered around warmth, gentleness, and building a genuine connection with my clients. I fully acknowledge the intrinsic wisdom that every woman carries, as they are the true experts of their own lives.
My trainings in EMDR (trauma healing modality) and Trauma Conscious Yoga Methods, allow me to integrate somatic practices, recognizing the importance of mind-body connection in the healing process. Some of our time together may be spend on a mat or processing trauma utilizing EMDR techniques.

Remaining trauma conscious is at the heart of my practice, I am mindful of the intergenerational cycles and the systemic barriers that women face. Holding space for those who entrust me with their personal stories and experiences is a true privilege.

During our sessions, I provide compassionate guidance to clients to reflect on their past experiences, behavioral patterns, and the dynamics within their families and relationships. Together we will work towards processing emotional wounds, identifying their unique gifts, and fostering a journey of self-awareness and personal growth. I am dedicated to incorporating a harm reduction and anti-oppressive lens, ensuring that our therapeutic work is inclusive, empowering, and validating for all.
